Do you have the patience and will to give in to your skin’s craving for hydration? You’re here for the 28 Days of Hydration Challenge! These are aimed to assist you in taking better care of your skin in terms of its health and your general well-being from a focus on water intake through this month-long journey. It is important to keep skin elasticity and reduce skin dryness as well as for keeping skin radiant. We’ll also explore how to incorporate HBNO essential oils for more benefits throughout this challenge.
With that said, let’s learn how you can instill healthy skin, one sip at a time, with the powerful knowledge that is the transformative power of hydration!
Why Hydration Matters
With almost 60% of our body weight coming from water, it is the basis of everything. Several biological processes depend on hydration, including regulating temperature, detoxifying the body, and giving cells the necessary nutrition. Of all the reasons you should stay hydrated, keeping your skin hydrated is one of them, because it helps keep your skin’s natural moisture barrier intact, keeping it soft and youthful looking.
Dry, flaky skin occurs because of dehydration and will often worsen eczema and acne. Increasing your water intake can do wonders for your skin’s health, and in turn its resilience. The idea is to take up daily habits that will guarantee that you drink enough water, and are feeling your best every day.
What to Expect Over the Next 28 Days
During this challenge, we’ll help you stay hydrated and encourage you to gradually add more water to your daily intake. Then we’ll offer practical ways to use HBNO essential oils for added flavor and skincare.
Week 1: Assessing Your Current Hydration Habits
We’ll assess your current hydration habits in just the first week and set realistic goals.
Day 1: Assess Your Water Intake
Calculate just how much water you are taking in. So if you don’t have enough water, you should drink at least 8 glasses (64 ounces) a day. If you’re able to find some sort of app that sends notifications to you on how much water you’re consuming, use it. If not, consider making a journal to remind you when you wash your hands, sit down to eat, or take a break from your phone, etc.
Day 2: Understand Your Body’s Needs
Individual hydration needs vary. Age, activity levels, and climate affect how much water we need to intake. Find out how much you should be taking based on your custom lifestyle profile.
Day 3: Set a Daily Goal
Pick a reasonable daily goal. If you’re drinking 4 cups a day, shoot for 6 cups this week. They make it easier to adapt: incremental changes.
Day 4: Infuse Your Water
Infuse your drinking water with fruits and herbs to make it more fun. Combinations to try include cucumber and basil, or even lemon and mint. Adding flavor will help with drinking more water throughout the day.
Day 5: Invest in a Water Bottle
Buy a nice, capable reusable water bottle. A stylish, functional water bottle keeps you from giving up on it because it doesn’t match your life and also motivates you to bring it and refill it throughout the day.
Day 6: Set Reminders
If you don’t have a hydration app, set water drinking reminders on your phone that coincide with when you’d normally go to the bathroom. This could be good for creating a routine and making sure you achieve your daily goals.
Day 7: Reflect on Week 1
Just think for a moment how far you’ve gotten this week. What was it like to keep tabs on your water intake? What obstacles did you find? This reflection should be used to adjust what your goals are for this upcoming week.
Week 2: Essential Oils as Flavor and Benefits
Stay tuned for week two where we will be talking about HBNO essential oils and how they can make your hydration experience amazing.
Day 8: Discover Essential Oils for Hydration
Learn some of the well-known moisturizing HBNO essential oils such as lavender, geranium, as well as rose oils. These can be added to your water or used in any of your DIY skin care masks or creams.
Day 9: Try making some Essential Oil Infused Water.
Mix peppermint or lemon essential oil in your water and make it a delicious drink. Not only will it taste delicious, but it can also aid digestion, and keep your energy levels high.
Day 10: How to Make a Hydrating Facial Mist
Put a few drops of HBNO essential oils like rose or lavender into distilled water, just a few drops, in a spray bottle. Use this mist to hydrate your skin all day long, especially in dry spaces.
Day 11: Essential Oil Infused Smoothie
Use essential oils in your smoothies! For an uplifting and healthy flavor add a drop of wild orange or peppermint oil.
Day 12: Focus on Herbal Teas
To increase hydration, include herbal teas, in addition to plain water. If you prefer caffeine-free options, pick chamomile or hibiscus, and add a drop of essential oil for flavor.
Day 13: Exercising and Drink Water
Drink lots of water in less stressful times but before, during, and after exercise. Apply HBNO essential oils such as lemon to give you an uplifting boost or eucalyptus to aid your breathing, and to help you enjoy an enhanced workout routine.
Day 14: Reflect on Week 2
Think about what you’ve done with essential oils this week. What have been your favorite combos that you find? Did adding these oils do anything to your hydration routine?
Week 3: Adding More Consistent Hydration Habits
In week three, we are building consistent habits to make sure you hit your hydration goals.
Day 15: Have a Morning Hydration Routine Set.
Keep a liter of water with a lemon squash in your fridge and drink a glass of it first thing in the morning. Not only does this help hydrate you but also acts as a catalyst for your metabolism and helps your body do away with the toxins.
Day 16: Incorporate Hydrating Foods
Eat foods that are hydrating such as cucumbers, watermelon, oranges, celery, and so on. Water does not meet 100% of your body’s requirements, so these foods can supply you with additional water, as well as essential vitamins and minerals.
Day 17: Use a Hydration Tracker
Track your daily water intake with a hydration tracker or app. This representation in visuals will help you to achieve your goals and will keep you on track.
Day 18: Hydration Challenge with Your Friends
Post your hydration challenge with your friends or family. So push yourself and push each other, try and keep to daily goals, and organize weekly ‘check-ins’ to celebrate each other’s wins and work towards keeping each other going.
Day 19: Hydrate Before Meals
However, it is recommended that you get in the habit of drinking a glass of water before each meal. That can also help control your appetite and make sure you’re drinking enough fluids in a day.
Day 20: Reward Yourself for Milestones
Set milestones for hydration and reward yourself for your achievement. Use your prized HBNO Essential oils to treat yourself with a new water bottle, spa day, or even a relaxing bath.
Day 21: Reflect on Week 3
This week, think about your hydration habits. Have your energy levels or your skin changed a little bit? Our insights here allow you to continue building positive habits.
Week 4: How to Fine-Tune Your Hydration Routine
In our final week, we’ll discuss how to fine-tune your hydration routine and enjoy your success!
Day 22: Reevaluate Your Daily Goals
It’s a good idea to take a moment and reconsider your goals for hydration. Are they still achievable? If so, increase or decrease the difficulty of these until they make you work and you’re challenged, but don’t feel overwhelmed.
Day 23: Learn to Listen to Your Body
Listen to when your body is thirsty. We get thirsty when we’re hungry. If you feel a craving, be heartful and drink some water.
Day 24: Make a Hydration Vision Board
To visualize your hydration goals, make a vision board. Make sure that includes images of water, fruits, and anything that makes you stay hydrated!
Day 25: Reflect on Your Skin Health
Notice all the good changes your skin is going through during the challenge. Have you seen more radiance, elasticity, and hydration? Motivated by these changes, document them so you’ll remember why you’ve been doing certain things and what to avoid in your future work.
Day 26: Prepare for the Future
Try to figure out ways you can keep up your hydration routine after this challenge finishes. Try setting ongoing water intake goals or even begin ingesting essential oils every day.
